President of Port Said University Attends Celebration Marking 70 Years of Egyptian-Chinese Diplomatic Relations

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, attended the grand cultural celebration held at Cairo Opera House to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the People’s Republic of China. The event was organized by the Chinese Embassy in Cairo and attended by the Chinese Ambassador to Egypt, alongside distinguished diplomatic, cultural, and public figures.

The celebration featured a remarkable performance by Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, conducted by renowned Egyptian Maestro Ahmed El-Saidi, with the participation of Egyptian and Chinese musicians, reflecting the depth of cultural exchange and the strong ties between the two nations.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized that Egyptian-Chinese relations stand as a distinguished model of friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding. He noted the continuous growth of bilateral collaboration, particularly in higher education, scientific research, and academic exchange, underscoring the vital role of culture and the arts in strengthening connections between peoples.

The President of Port Said University also expressed the university’s pride in the flourishing partnership between Egypt and China and its commitment to expanding academic and research cooperation, promoting knowledge exchange, and contributing to the preparation of future generations equipped to meet global challenges.
