
As part of the cooperation agreement between Port Said University and IIT Gandhinagar, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mona Nashaat and Dr. Ahmed Sobhy are participating in an academic and training visit to the institute’s campus in India under the Faculty Development Program (FDP). The visit aims to explore IIT Gandhinagar’s academic and research capabilities and identify opportunities for joint cooperation.
The visit included meetings with faculty members and researchers in Electrical, Computer, Marine, and Mechanical Engineering. The delegation also met with Prof. Amit Prashant, Dean of External Relations at IIT Gandhinagar, to discuss practical steps for advancing cooperation, including the internationalization of academic programs at Port Said University, joint programs, student exchange, and postgraduate collaboration.
The delegation also toured the Research Park to learn about startups, innovative projects, and mechanisms for translating research into practical applications, as well as the Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF) to explore its advanced research and laboratory equipment.
The visit marks a practical step toward translating the cooperation agreement into joint research and projects, faculty and student exchanges, and academic and training programs, further strengthening the international partnership between Port Said University and IIT Gandhinagar.
