Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, participated in the “Egyptian-French Day for Scientific and Academic Cooperation: Progress, Challenges, and New Horizons”, bringing together leaders from higher education, academic institutions, and research centers in Egypt and France. The event builds on the momentum of French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Egypt in April 2015, which resulted in several cooperation agreements between universities and academic institutions.
The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including:
Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt
Ms. Eleanor Carois, Minister Delegate for Francophonie, International Partnerships, and French Nationals Abroad
Professor Laurent Gatineau, President of CY Cergy Paris Université
Professor Mostafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities
During the roundtable organized in collaboration with the Conference of French Universities (CGE), Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh highlighted Port Said University’s initiatives in international partnerships, dual degree programs, and projects supporting innovation and entrepreneurship among students and graduates.
He emphasized the university’s commitment to expanding collaboration with French institutions to enhance academic programs, applied scientific research, and the alignment of education with market needs—particularly in management, entrepreneurship, and innovation—supporting sustainable development and reinforcing Port Said University’s international presence.
