
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, praised the activation of the joint cooperation protocol between the university and SE Wiring Systems, Sumitomo Corporation company. He emphasized that this step represents genuine support for linking university education with industry and keeping pace with the demands of the modern job market.
This came within the framework of implementing the protocol, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, and the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Sobhy, General Supervisor of the Engineering, Science, and Technology Sector, and Dr. Abeer Salama, Assistant Supervisor of the Sector. Prof. Dr. Taha Farag, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Yasser Hamed, Dean of the Faculty of Management Technology and Information Systems, along with a number of faculty members, teaching assistants, and a group of distinguished students, also participated.
The Engineering, Science, and Technology Sector organized a scientific visit to the SE Wiring Systems factory (wiring factory) in Port Said Industrial Zone. The visit included a presentation about the company and an overview of its work processes and production lines. This aims to develop students’ practical experience and prepare them for the job market according to the latest industry standards. The visit also included discussions on future cooperation prospects, such as organizing regular visits and providing summer training opportunities.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized the university’s commitment to providing academic and technical support to the company’s employees through postgraduate programs and professional diplomas, noting that activating this protocol strengthens the partnership between the university and the industrial sector, and supports the state’s orientation towards a knowledge economy, innovation, and applied scientific research.
