The President of Port Said University Meets with the Governor of Port Said to Strengthen Strategic Partnership for Sustainable Development

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, met with Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Port Said, at the Governorate Headquarters to discuss expanding institutional cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership between the university and the governorate in support of comprehensive development plans.

The meeting explored ways to leverage the university’s scientific, research, and academic expertise in implementing development projects, providing scientific and technical consultations, and launching initiatives that enhance the quality of services delivered to citizens.

Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon reaffirmed the governorate’s commitment to maintaining close cooperation with Port Said University, describing it as a leading academic institution and a center of expertise. He praised the university’s distinguished role in preparing qualified graduates, advancing scientific research, and contributing to community development in line with Egypt’s Vision and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized that Port Said University is fully committed to placing its scientific, research, and academic capabilities at the service of the governorate. He stressed that the university is a key partner in supporting development efforts by providing evidence-based solutions to community challenges and transforming research outcomes into practical applications that improve citizens’ quality of life through strong institutional partnerships with Port Said Governorate and various state institutions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination and expanded cooperation in the coming period to support the governorate’s development agenda, strengthen community service, and contribute to achieving the goals of Egypt’s New Republic.
