
A distinguished team from the Faculty of Management Technology and Information Systems won First Place nationwide at the Afro-Asian Innovation and Technology Forum 2026, earning qualification for the international finals to be held in Aswan.
The achievement came under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Yasser Ahmed Hamed, Dean of the Faculty, Assistant Prof. Dr. Ayman Mohamed Mohasseb, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and academic supervision by Dr. Sona Mohamed Hassan Ismail.
The winning team participated with their innovative project:“Smart Child”“Smart protection for your child… Easy peace of mind”
The project provides smart digital solutions aimed at enhancing child safety and offering families greater peace of mind.
Held at Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital, the forum was organized by the National Telecommunications Institute under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with participation from universities and institutions across Egypt.
Port Said University team secured first place in the Software & Hardware competition among 13 competing teams nationwide.

The team was honored on April 30, 2026, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Khattab, Director of the National Telecommunications Institute, and Dr. Marwa Amara, CEO of the Afro-Asian Forum for Innovation and Technology.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, extended his congratulations to the outstanding students, praising their achievement as a reflection of the university’s commitment to innovation, creativity, and excellence, and wishing them continued success in the international finals.
