
In the frame of the efforts to enhance the role of the health sector at Port Said University in serving the community, and based on the directives of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Saleh, President of Port Said University, and on the occasion of the World Health Organization’s World Tuberculosis Day, Port Said University Health and Surgical Sector organized a World Tuberculosis Day event on the university’s Theater. This came in implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals to eliminate tuberculosis infection by 2030. Participating in the event were Prof. Dr. Heba Youssef, Supervisor of the Health Sector; Prof. Dr. Sanaa Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing; Prof. Dr. Amjad Mansour, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy; Prof. Dr. Nagat Salama, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Nursing for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Sherine El-Taheri, Head of the Department of Senior Internal Nursing; and Asst. Prof. Dr. Jihan Ahmed Mohamed, Assistant General Coordinator of the Health Sector. The scientific sessions were attended by a select group of university professors from the faculties of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and physical therapy. The Students for Egypt family, students from the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Nursing, and the Faculty of Physical Therapy also participated, as did graduate students and specialists from various faculties in the health sector.
