
Port Said University, through its General Administration for Student Welfare, organized a distinguished recreational and educational trip under the slogan “Port Said University in the Embrace of Culture.” The trip targeted international students enrolled at the university, in addition to students who have excelled in various extracurricular activities.
The activities commenced on Monday, February 16, 2026, under the auspices of Sherif Saleh, President of the University, and Ahmed Bayoumi, Supervisor of the Student Welfare Sector. This initiative comes within the framework of the university’s strategy to integrate international students into Egyptian society and introduce them to the depth and richness of Egyptian civilization.
The program included an extensive tour of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where students explored the chronological development of Egypt’s history. The tour also featured a visit to Al-Muizz Street and its unique Islamic architectural landmarks, culminating in a visit to the Al-Hussein Mosque and the surrounding historic district, offering students an immersive heritage experience that reflects the spirit of Cairo and its timeless history.
The university administration affirmed that this trip is part of a broader series of activities aimed at supporting and honoring outstanding students, as well as providing international students with meaningful opportunities to explore Egypt’s cultural and tourist attractions, thereby reinforcing the university’s role as a leading educational and cultural institution.
At the conclusion of the visit, participating students expressed their delight with the experience, commending the excellent organization and the valuable historical and cultural knowledge they gained during their tour of Cairo’s iconic landmarks.
