
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, participated in the celebration organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Cairo on the occasion of the Italian National Day and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Italian Republic, observed annually on June 2. The event was held at the invitation of Ambassador Agostino Balizzi, Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
During the celebration, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh expressed the university’s pride in the distinguished Egyptian-Italian relations, particularly in the fields of higher education and scientific research. He emphasized that academic cooperation between institutions in both countries serves as a successful model of scientific partnership, knowledge exchange, and innovation.
The President of Port Said University highlighted the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with Italian universities and institutions through partnership agreements, academic exchange programs, and joint scientific initiatives. These collaborations contribute to enhancing educational and research excellence while supporting sustainable development goals.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh also noted that the growing cooperation between Egypt and Italy reflects a shared commitment to building effective strategic partnerships that advance scientific, economic, and cultural development.
At the conclusion of the event, he extended his sincere congratulations to the government and people of Italy on their National Day and reaffirmed Port Said University’s aspiration to expand scientific and research exchange programs and deepen academic cooperation with Italian universities and research institutions.
