Cooperation Protocols with the Ministry of Labor and Major Companies to Prepare Students and Graduates and Create Genuine Training and Employment Pathways
In a new step toward strengthening the connection between university education and labor market needs, Port Said Governorate witnessed the signing of a series of cooperation protocols between Port Said University, the Ministry of Labor, and several major companies operating in the governorate.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Hassan Raddad, Minister of Labor; Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Port Said; and Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, along with executive officials and members of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The partnerships reflect the university’s strategy, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, to equip students and graduates with professional and practical skills and provide genuine training and employment opportunities aligned with labor market needs.
A cooperation protocol between Port Said University and the Ministry of Labor was signed by Prof. Dr. Heba Youssef Soliman, Director of Training and Professional Development at Port Said University, on behalf of the university, and Ms. Iman Mohamed Mosaad, Acting Director of the Port Said Labor Directorate, on behalf of the Directorate. The protocol focuses on training and employment, enhancing students’ and graduates’ readiness for the labor market, and promoting awareness of labor laws and occupational health and safety.
In addition, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh signed cooperation protocols with several major companies to support practical and applied training, including:
• Kapci Coatings, represented by Engineer Mohamed El-Sayed.
• Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT), represented by Mr. Mohamed Khattab.
• S.A. Barmaj Systems Egypt, represented by Engineer Ahmed Ghazi.
• Port Said Food Manufacturing Company (“Reyada”), headed by Mr. Ibrahim Soudan.
• Style Hotel Management Company, headed by Mr. Mohamed Gabr.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized the university’s commitment to building sustainable partnerships with the industrial, production, and service sectors, moving beyond traditional training toward programs directly aligned with labor market needs and actual employment opportunities.
These partnerships reflect Port Said University’s vision of building effective bridges with state institutions and the business sector, narrowing the gap between educational outcomes and labor market demands, and supporting economic and social development in Port Said Governorate and across Egypt.
