
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, welcomed Dr. Maggie Nassif, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission in Egypt, alongside Ms. Manal Morsi, Ministry of Higher Education representative, and Ms. Noha Salah, Senior Program Officer at the Commission, to discuss enhancing academic and scientific cooperation.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized that this partnership supports the state’s strategy for international engagement and the development of faculty and student capabilities. He highlighted the readiness of the university’s young professionals, trained through the Career Development Center and Training Unit programs, to fully benefit from Fulbright opportunities.
The discussions focused on collaboration in academic exchanges and scientific research, offering valuable opportunities for both students and researchers.
Dr. Nassif also met with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Kamel, Prof. Dr. Heba Youssef Soliman, faculty deans, and program directors to review Fulbright initiatives, including master’s and doctoral scholarships, research grants, English language teaching development, leadership programs, and visiting professorships.
She expressed her admiration for the university’s progress and confirmed that Fulbright programs are accessible across disciplines. The meeting concluded with the exchange of commemorative shields, symbolizing the commitment to ongoing collaboration.
