Port Said University Organizes a Spiritual Day and Religious Chanting Competition

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Supervisor of the Student Welfare Sector, the Cultural and Artistic Activities Department organized a distinguished spiritual day featuring competitions in religious chanting and hymns at the Student Activities Hall of the General Administration for Student Welfare.

The event brought together talented students from various faculties, showcasing their abilities in an atmosphere that reflected the spiritual values and cultural heritage of religious chanting. The competition was evaluated by Professor Dr. Hossam El-Din, Head of the Music Education Department and a specialist in religious chanting and hymns, based on vocal quality, performance, and delivery.

The activities concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the winning students, celebrating their creativity and excellence in this important artistic and spiritual field.

The event was supervised and coordinated by Ms. Sarah Galal, Director of the Cultural and Artistic Activities Department, alongside Ms. Marwa Sha’noun, Student Welfare Specialist, and Mr. Islam Taha Hussein and Mr. Mohamed Awad, Sports Activity Specialists.
