
Port Said University continues to expand its global presence through a new international academic partnership in the Slovak Republic.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, signed a scientific partnership and academic cooperation agreement with the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, one of the leading research institutes within the academy, which includes 48 specialized research institutes.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Emmanuel Peška, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies, alongside Prof. Sylvester Trnović, Prof. Veronika Vereshová, Prof. Katerina Pešková, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Anwar, Advisor to the President of Port Said University for International Relations.
Founded in 1960, the Institute of Oriental Studies is internationally recognized for its contributions to Egyptology, Arabic, African, Chinese, and Korean Studies, and has published more than 30 books on Egyptian history and civilization.
The agreement aims to strengthen joint scientific research, academic exchange, graduate supervision, international conferences, workshops, and scientific publishing, further supporting Port Said University’s vision for internationalization and academic excellence.
Professor Sherif Youssef Saleh affirmed that the partnership marks a new milestone in the university’s journey toward global recognition and reflects the growing international confidence in Port Said University as a modern institution committed to education, research, innovation, and sustainable development.
