National Flag Ceremony Marks Opening of PSU Student Scouting Camp

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, joined students in raising the national flag during the university’s scouting camp (the “Rahout League”), praising their discipline, teamwork, and outstanding performance.

The event took place during the opening of one of the camp’s scouting activities, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Supervisor of Student Welfare, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Sawaf. Around 100 students from various faculties participated in the camp, held from April 22 to 24, 2026.

Organized as part of the university’s strategy to support student engagement and maximize on-campus resources, the camp featured the inauguration of dedicated scouting grounds, along with a public service initiative to prepare the site—reflecting a strong spirit of volunteerism and collaboration.

In his remarks, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh highlighted the vital role of such activities in shaping well-rounded students by fostering leadership, teamwork, and self-reliance. He encouraged participants to make the most of the experience, emphasizing their role as future leaders and contributors to the nation’s development.
