Prof. Dr Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, announced that the university has been included for the second consecutive year in the Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026.
The university achieved a significant leap, moving from the 251–300 global range in 2025 to the 201–250 range in 2026. This achievement came under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Saleh Zaramba, Director of International Rankings, along with the university team, the faculties, and the Graduate Studies and Research Sector.
Port Said University also maintained its strong position among Egyptian institutions in this field, ranking 12th out of 36 universities—reflecting its continuous progress in scientific research and interdisciplinary studies.
Dr. Sherif Saleh highlighted that this advancement is the result of high-quality research output, growing international competitiveness, and the success of the university’s research strategy. He expressed his gratitude to the faculty, researchers, and the ranking team, and called for the continued strengthening of scientific research and international collaborations, praising the dedicated efforts of the university’s young researchers.
