Inauguration of Sayed Metwally Sports Complex.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, participated in the inauguration of the newly renovated Sayed Metwally Sports Complex. The ceremony, organized by the Port Said Governorate, was attended by Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, and Mr. Kamel Abu Ali, President of Al-Masry Club.

The inauguration followed four months of comprehensive renovations carried out according to the latest international standards, in support of strengthening the governorate’s sports infrastructure.

The event was attended by several public figures, including Professor Ahmed Abdel Qader, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences; members and deputies of the Al-Masry Club Board of Directors; Engineer Mohamed Salama, Member of the Senate; Dr. Marwa Halawa, Member of Parliament; Dr. Mahmoud Hussein, Chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee in Parliament; Major General Amr Fikry, Secretary-General of the Governorate; and Mr. Mohamed Abdel Aziz, Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate.

During his speech, the University President praised the role of Governor Moheb Habashi in supporting youth, as well as Mr. Kamel Abu Ali for his continued efforts in advancing sports. He emphasized that the opening of the complex commemorates the late Sayed Metwally, a long-standing symbol of dedication and loyalty to Al-Masry Club.
