Prof. Dr Ayman Ibrahim, President of Port Said University, visited the University of Strathclyde in the United Kingdom as part of the activities of the research project “Egyptian offshore wind to produce green hydrogen to mitigate the effects of climate change.” He was received by Prof. Dr Ibrahim Khadr, University Advisor for International Relations, Prof. Dr Stephen MacArthur, Dean of the faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr Erkan Otirkus, research partner in the project.
The President of the University was received by Prof. Dr Islam Amin, a professor at Port Said University and loaned to the University of Strathclyde, and accompanied by Dr Mohamed El-Sakka, a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering – Port Said University and a member of the project’s research team.
The visit began with a workshop to follow up on the project’s achievements, then a tour at the University of Strathclyde buildings and equipment and a visit to the Kelvin Hydrodynamics Laboratory.
The visit concluded with a meeting with Professor Dr Atila Incicek, University Chancellor and former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. By the end of the visit, a number of joint research projects and future cooperation plans were agreed upon.
