Prof. Dr Ayman Ibrahim, President of Port Said University, inaugurated the Fourth International Conference on Membrane Technology and its Applications, which is organized by the National Research Center, in cooperation with Port Said University and the Water Technology Association. The inauguration took place in the presence of Prof. Dr Sayed Ismail, Deputy Minister of Housing, and Prof. Dr Mohamed Hashem, ex-President of the National Research Center, Prof. Dr Mahmoud Bahjat, Head of Central Laboratories and Centers of Excellence, Prof. Dr Rawya Rizk, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Prof. Dr Ahmed Shaaban, Honorary Chairman of the Conference, and Dr Kamal Al-Nahhas, Secretary General of the Conference.
The conference discusses the role of membrane technology in areas of higher priority as in industrial applications, water treatment, waste water, and water desalination. It also opens new channels to link the Academy with industry in this field and explores new links between artificial intelligence tools and membrane technology in addition to establishing the friction membrane industry in Egypt.
