PSU Council No. 226

Port Said University Council held its regular meeting No. 226 on Sunday, September 27, 2026, chaired by Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and attended by Major General Ibrahim Abu Limoun, Governor of Port Said, and members of the University Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh congratulated the Council members on the start of the new academic year 2026/2027, emphasizing the university’s continued efforts to advance education and research and strengthen its role in serving the community.

The University President welcomed the Governor’s participation, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation and coordination between Port Said University and the Governorate and integrating academic expertise with executive experience to support comprehensive and sustainable development.

The Council reviewed a presentation highlighting key development projects and achievements across Port Said Governorate. Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh affirmed that the university is committed to placing its academic, scientific, research, and advisory expertise at the service of the Governorate and its development priorities.

For his part, Major General Ibrahim Abu Limoun praised the ongoing cooperation between Port Said Governorate and Port Said University, emphasizing the university’s role as a key partner in the Governorate’s development efforts. He highlighted the importance of integrating academic expertise with executive perspectives to support national efforts to advance education, scientific research, and public services.

The Council also approved the awarding of Master’s degrees to 16 researchers and Doctoral degrees to 8 researchers, then, continued to the agenda.

The meeting reflects Port Said University’s continued commitment to advancing its educational, research, and community roles and strengthening partnerships with state institutions to support development and serve the community.
