At the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, conducted an inspection tour of the Faculties of Commerce and Engineering, meeting with students, following up on the regularity of classes, and congratulating them on the new academic year.
During an open dialogue, the University President encouraged students to set clear goals, work diligently to achieve their dreams, and make the most of the university’s educational, training, and extracurricular opportunities.
He emphasized the importance of discipline, academic achievement, personal and practical skills, student activities, digital skills, and English-language proficiency. He also highlighted the importance of choosing specializations based on students’ abilities and interests and connecting academic study with labor market needs through the university’s partnerships with companies and institutions.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh also announced the university’s plans to expand opportunities for students to travel and receive training at Arab and international universities.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Amal Khalil, Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Rizk Qamiha, Supervisor of the University Housing Sector; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Supervisor of the Student Welfare Sector; Ms. Samia Moselhi, University Secretary-General; Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Rahman, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; and Prof. Dr. Taha Farraj, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with the vice-deans, faculty members, assistant academic staff, and administrative personnel, amid broad student participation and engagement.
