Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, met with Dr. Hossam Sadek, Executive Director of the General Authority for Universal Health Insurance, during a visit to the Authority’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting was attended by MP Ahmed Farghaly, MP Amal Asfour, and Dr. Ali Hilal, Director of Political Communication and Parliamentary Affairs at the Authority. Discussions addressed opportunities to strengthen cooperation and develop future healthcare and medical projects, while maximizing the university’s scientific and medical capabilities.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized that citizens’ well-being is a top priority for Port Said University, highlighting the University Hospital and the Faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, and Physical Therapy and their role in providing high-quality healthcare services to Port Said residents and neighboring governorates.
He stressed the importance of integration among the university, the Authority, and state institutions in building a more efficient and sustainable healthcare system. He also commended the Authority’s efforts and underscored the importance of the national Universal Health Insurance Project in promoting social justice and comprehensive, high-quality healthcare.
Port Said University continues to strengthen its partnerships with state institutions and leverage its academic and medical resources to serve the community and support Egypt’s efforts toward an advanced and sustainable healthcare system.
