Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Saleh, President of Port Said University, and Professor Dr. El-Saeed Abdel-Hadi, President of Horus University, signed a cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening collaboration in medical education and training, scientific research, continuing medical education, and the exchange of expertise, while maximizing the use of the human and material resources of both universities.
The protocol provides for training opportunities for medical and pharmacy interns from Horus University at Port Said University Hospital, as well as training opportunities for medical and pharmacy students from Port Said University at Horus University Hospital, in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations.
It also includes the exchange of academic and scientific expertise, cooperation in scientific research and professional development, and leveraging Port Said University’s expertise in international relations and academic cooperation to support Horus University’s efforts to expand its international partnerships.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Vice Presidents and Deans of Port Said University’s faculties, Dr. Ahmed Hassan Anwar, Advisor to the University President for International Relations, and Dr. Shaimaa Hassanein, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Languages, Horus University.
Professor Dr. El-Saeed Abdel-Hadi emphasized that the protocol represents an important step toward strengthening integration between the two universities. He praised Port Said University’s significant academic, scientific, and administrative development, as well as its growing national and international standing.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh affirmed that integration among higher education institutions and the exchange of expertise and resources are essential to advancing education and scientific research. He highlighted that cooperation with Horus University, particularly in medical training, continuing medical education, and scientific research, represents a practical model of institutional integration, with students, graduates, and researchers as its primary beneficiaries.
The protocol reflects Port Said University’s continued commitment to expanding its academic and scientific partnerships, strengthening institutional integration, and transforming cooperation into tangible opportunities for education, training, and scientific research, further enhancing its competitiveness locally and internationally.
