Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, led a delegation of university officials to visit Major General Wael Rushdi, Assistant Minister of the Interior and Director of Security for Port Said, to congratulate him on his appointment.
During the meeting, the University President praised the vital role of the Egyptian Police in safeguarding national security and maintaining stability. He reaffirmed the University’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with state institutions and highlighted its dedication to placing its academic, research, and human resources at the service of the community in support of sustainable development and national stability.
Major General Wael Rushdi welcomed the university delegation and expressed his appreciation for the visit, describing it as a reflection of the strong partnership between Port Said University and the Port Said Security Directorate. He also commended the University’s leading role in preparing qualified graduates, serving the community, and contributing to national initiatives.
The Director of Security reaffirmed the importance of continued cooperation and coordination between both institutions to serve Port Said Governorate and its citizens, supporting the Egyptian state’s vision for enhanced security, stability, and sustainable development.
