Delegation from the Coptic Orthodox Church in Port Said to extend Eid al-Adha Greetings

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, received Bishop Tadros, Metropolitan of Port Said and its Dependencies, accompanied by Father Paula Saad, Vicar of the Diocese, leading a delegation from the Coptic Orthodox Church in Port Said to extend Eid al-Adha greetings.

The meeting reflected the deep-rooted spirit of love, tolerance, and national unity that distinguishes the Egyptian people. Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh expressed his appreciation for the visit, emphasizing that such occasions embody the values of fraternity and mutual respect among all Egyptians. He also affirmed that Egypt continues its journey of comprehensive development under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, while Port Said University remains committed to strengthening its societal role and cooperation with all national institutions.

For his part, Bishop Tadros praised the remarkable academic and community achievements witnessed at Port Said University, stressing that love and cooperation among Egyptians represent the true foundation of the strength and unity of the Egyptian state. He further affirmed the Church’s keenness to participate in the university’s national and cultural activities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the President of the University reaffirmed that national unity will always remain one of Egypt’s greatest strengths, noting that exchanging greetings during religious occasions reflects the true image of Egyptian society, founded on fraternity, tolerance, and mutual respect. He also extended his sincere congratulations to the Egyptian people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
