Port Said University is leading a national model for energy conservation, in alignment with the directives of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and in support of the state’s sustainability agenda.
Under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, the university has implemented a comprehensive plan that includes switching off lights during daylight hours, cutting off electricity after official working hours, and expanding the use of energy-efficient LED lighting. These measures significantly reduce electricity consumption without compromising the quality of the educational process.
The university administration has also reinforced its commitment to applying conservation measures across all faculties, with continuous monitoring and the launch of awareness initiatives to promote the responsible use of electrical appliances—particularly air conditioners and electric kettles.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh affirmed that energy conservation remains a top priority, emphasizing that these efforts reflect a strong institutional commitment to resource efficiency and sustainable development. He also highlighted the full cooperation of faculty members, staff, and students, ensuring that educational operations continue efficiently and without disruption.
