The Second Awareness Forum 2026

Under the auspice of Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, General Supervisor of the Student Welfare Sector and Coordinator of the Students for Egypt Family, and in cooperation with Al-Azhar Observatory for Combating Extremism, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Port Said University concluded the activities of the Second Awareness Forum 2026.

The forum was held from February 3 to 6, 2026, at Port Said Youth City, with the participation of male and female students representing 21 universities and higher institutes, in addition to a group of young people from the Egyptian Federation of Youth Entities affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

This forum was organized within the framework of the initiative “Towards a Youth Vision to Confront Extremism”, launched in 2021 and continuing for five years, targeting more than 5,000 male and female students from public, private, and national universities and higher institutes.

The initiative aims to raise awareness among young people and protect them from extremist ideologies through a series of lectures, workshops, and discussion panels. Participating university students actively shared their views and ideas on issues related to the initiative, contributing to correcting misconceptions and confronting intellectual challenges through scientific and rational dialogue, based on the firm belief that youth are the nation’s shield and its first line of defense against extremist thought.

It is worth noting that the Awareness Forum has been implemented for the second consecutive year in cooperation with Al-Azhar Global Center for Monitoring.
