Under the auspice of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of the University, and the general supervision of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Supervisor of Student Affairs, the Scientific and Technological Activities Department participated in the First Summit of Egyptian Universities for Scientific Research and Innovation in the Field of Environmental Awareness (Innovation to Serve the Environment in the Field of Safe Disposal of Electronic Waste). The Green Economy Treasures project won third place among Egyptian universities. The project was prepared by students Nourin Tariq Ali Abdel Latif, Faculty of Specific Education, and Abdo Muhammad Abdo Mahmoud El-Zend, Faculty of Specific Education (Department of Educational Technology and Computer Science). The Director of the Scientific and Technological Activities Department was Mr. Muhammad Al-Khamisi.
