The activities of the 5th International Conference on Membrane Technology and its Applications, organized by the National Research Center in cooperation with Port Said University, were launched under the auspice of Prof. Dr Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Major General Mohamed Salah, Minister of Military Production, Prof. Dr Rawya Rizk, Acting President of Port Said University, and Prof. Dr Fajr Abdel Gawad, Acting President of the National Research Center. The conference is headed by Prof. Dr Ahmed Mahmoud Shaaban, Head of the Flat Filters Group and former Vice President of the National Research Center, and his deputies, Prof. Dr Heba Abdullah and Dr Marwa Shalaby, in the presence of Dr Ashraf Shaalan, Head of the National Research Center, Dr Mahmoud Bahgat, General Supervisor of the Central Laboratories Network at the National Research Center, and Dr Kamal El Nahhas, Secretary General of the Conference, with the participation of scientists and researchers from many international and Egyptian universities.
