Dr Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, President of Port Said University, witnessed the activities of announcing and distributing awards in the Youth for Development Initiative: Human Development Forum, which was held under the auspices of Dr Prof. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research And the Supreme Council of Universities, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Latif, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities, on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in the presence of the presidents of universities and vice presidents of the participating universities, namely Cairo, Ain Shams, Port Said, Mansoura, Beni Suef, and members of the jury and work teams participating in the initiative.
Port Said University topped the universities in winning awards as follow:
First place in the development projects competition: Supporting the health system by establishing a clinical poison center to serve the Canal, Sinai and Delta regions
Second place in the policy papers competition: The comprehensive digital system for developing the role of teachers in caring for the gifted and people of determination according to Egypt’s 2030 vision
On his part, the President of the University congratulated the winning teams, and pointed out the importance of this initiative, which is based on introducing researchers to human development and linking it to public policies and development projects that the Egyptian government is working on. Dr Prof. Rawya Rizk, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research and the General Coordinator of the initiative at the university, also praised the effort made by all the working teams participating in the university.
