The British Times Ranking 2024 for Higher Education Institutions for Sustainable Development announced that it placed Port Said University in the 801-1000th place globally out of 1,963 global universities that were included in the ranking this year’s classification of the universities in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, for the fourth time in a row, which comes in line with Egypt’s strategic vision for sustainable development 2030. Prof. Dr Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, President of the University, confirmed that the university’s continuation of this classification for the third year is a reflection of the university’s efforts to achieve sustainable development goals within the plan of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Egypt’s Vision 2030, congratulating the university on this achievement at the international level. On this occasion, Prof. Dr Rawya Rizk, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, stated that this classification is based on documented criteria for the university’s activities related to achieving the seventeen United Nations sustainable development goals, and the university has achieved advanced ranks globally in ten of the sustainable development goals.
