
Port Said University inaugurated the Second International Conference on Green Sciences, held from December 3–4, 2025, under the auspice and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of the University. The event witnessed wide participation from faculty members, researchers, and experts from Egypt and abroad.
The conference aimed to strengthen the integration between basic sciences and sustainable development, and to enhance cooperation among universities, research centers, and the industrial sector, in alignment with Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The conference themes were presented by:
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ramadan – Conference Chair
Prof. Dr. Osama Mohareb – Conference Vice Chair
Prof. Dr. Farid El-Desouky – Conference Rapporteur
The themes covered a wide range of fields, including environmental sciences, geology and oceanography, mathematics and computer science, microbiology and biotechnology, chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences, physics and renewable energy, interdisciplinary sciences, nitrifying applications, along with an industrial exhibition.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh also welcomed several international speakers, including Prof. Dr. Carsten Bölm, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Selim, Prof. Dr. Hakim Saibi, Prof. Dr. Ghaleb Erekat, and Prof. Dr. Bashar Tarawneh.
At the conclusion of the first day, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ramadan El-Sayed presented the conference shield to the University President in recognition of his continuous support for scientific research.
