Dr Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, President of Port Said University, held a reception for the members of the Higher Coordinating Committee to follow up on the implementation of the national literacy project in the periodic meeting No (24) headed by Dr Prof. El-Hilali El-Sherbiny, the former Minister of Education and Technical Education. It was held in Port Said University, and during The meeting: The Port Said University initiative to contribute to Port Said without illiteracy 2025 was launched in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education and under the auspices of the Higher Committee to follow up on the implementation of Egyptian universities for the national project to eradicate illiteracy at the Supreme Council of Universities (by achieving the literacy target of approximately 25 thousand illiterate people until to 2025.
The meeting was attended by the members of the committee, who are:
- Dr Prof. Abdel Hamid Khader, Vice President of Damietta University for Community Service and Environmental Development
- Dr Prof. Rawya Yahya Rizk, Vice President of Port Said University for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs
- Dr Prof. Abdel Nasser Mohamed, Vice President of Sohag University for Education and Student Affairs
- Dr Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aal, Vice President of Kafrelsheikh University for Education and Student Affairs
- Dr Prof. Muhammad Yahya Nassef, acting head of the executive body of the General Authority for Adult Education
- Dr Prof. Khaled Irfan, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University (on the authority of the Vice President of the University).
- Dr Prof. Ahmed Abdel Rashid, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education, Helwan University, in charge of the illiteracy eradication files (on the authority of the acting president of the university)
- Dr Prof. Hani Abu El-Dahab, Professor at the Faculty of Education, Minia University and Director of the Adult Education Center (on the authority of the Vice President of the University)
- Dr Prof. Mohamed Ismail, Professor at the Faculty of Education, Suez University and Director of the Adult Education Center (on the authority of the University President)
