
Dr Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, President of Port Said University, confirmed that the forum discussed all themes related to the climate change crisis and its repercussions on many major sectors in Egypt and the world, and mechanisms of adaptation and mitigation. Dr Prof. Rawya Rizk, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, indicated that the university participated in the forum’s work with a set of research topics in the field of climate change and associated applied projects. The forum activities were attended by Dr Prof. Yasser Refaat, Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, and Dr Prof. Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and Dr Prof. Muhammad Latif, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, Ambassador Hisham Badr, General Coordinator of the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects, Chairman of the Organizing Committee at the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Presidents of Universities and Vice Presidents of Universities, and a group of academic leaders and representatives of a number of authorities concerned with the climate change file.
