Under the slogan “From University to the Job Market,” the program aims to prepare a generation capable of leading port logistics operations.
As part of its commitment to investing in young people and preparing qualified professionals to lead the port logistics sector, Port Said University has concluded its summer training program for students across various departments of Port Said Container and Cargo Handling Company, under the slogan “From University to the Job Market.”
The program was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and Assistant Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Supervisor of the Student Affairs Sector, in cooperation with Port Said Container and Cargo Handling Company. It reflects the University’s commitment to bridging the gap between academic studies and practical experience and equipping students with the skills required by the job market.
The training program covered two main areas. The first focused on theoretical training, featuring specialized lectures on container terminal management and operations, occupational health and safety procedures, and quality management systems.
The second focused on practical and hands-on training, giving students exposure to traffic management systems, marine operations, and financial and administrative affairs under the direct supervision of the company’s engineers and technicians. This enabled them to gain first-hand insight into operations within the container handling and logistics sector.
Participating students expressed their sincere appreciation to Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of the University, and Major General Ahmed Badawy, CEO and Managing Director of the Company, for providing this valuable training opportunity, which helped them acquire practical skills and real-world experience complementing their academic studies.
Port Said University organizes this program annually as part of its strategy to align academic education with labor market needs and strengthen partnerships with maritime transport institutions, contributing to the preparation of graduates equipped with the skills and experience needed to compete in the job market.
