
The “Differently Abled” team celebrate an outstanding performance at the Alex Sports Competition for Students with Disabilities.
Student Fatima El-Naggar earned the gold medal in weightlifting (heavyweight category), reaffirming the university’s leading position in this major sporting event.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Saleh, President of Port Said University, sent a heartfelt congratulatory message to the “Differently Abled” team following their remarkable achievements at the competition.
For the first time, the university’s visually impaired team participated with two goalball teams (boys and girls). The teams included:
Boys’ Team:
Khaled Ali – Faculty of Arts
Ezzat Mohsen – Faculty of Specific Education (Arab Athletics Champion)
Raymond Anis – Faculty of Arts
Youssef Saeed – Faculty of Education
Girls’ Team:
Basant Mokhtar – Faculty of Arts
Mariam Hamdi – Faculty of Education
Rawan Saeed – Faculty of Education
This participation came under the auspice of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of the University, and Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, General Supervisor of Student Activities. Training was conducted under the supervision of Captain Mohammed Tamam, Director of the Office for People with Disabilities, along with Ms. Siham Shata, team supervisor, and Mr. Khaled Ali, assistant coach of the goalball team.
