Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, participated in the meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities held at Suez Canal University, alongside Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The meeting was also attended by Major General Akram Galala, Governor of Ismailia; Prof. Dr. Nasser Mandour, President of Suez Canal University; and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Universities.
During the meeting, several topics across various academic sectors were discussed, and the winners of the Best Environmentally Friendly University Competition for the 2024/2025 academic year were honored. Awards and certificates were presented to the presidents of the winning universities.

Governmental Universities (over 50 years old):

20–50 years:

3. Menoufia University
Under 20 years:
1. Kafr El Sheikh University
2. Beni Suef University
3. Fayoum University
Private and National Universities:
1. 6th of October University
2. Badr University
3. New Mansoura University
Technological Universities:
1. New Cairo Technological University
2. Taibah Technological University
3. Delta Technological University
The Minister also honored Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, along with the members of the judging committee.
