Under the presidential of Dr Prof. Ayman Mohamed Ibrahim, the university council held its monthly meeting No 144 on Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Dr Prof. Ayman Ibrahim, president of the university, commenced the meeting with congratulating the staff and the university body on the occasion of celebrating the 23rd July Revolution and the upcoming of Eid al – Adha wishing them all the blessings and prosperity.
The President of the University delivered the message of Dr Prof. Khalid Abdul Ghafour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the university staff and body praising their great efforts during the exams and follow up the implementation of precautionary and preventive measures that ensure safety of students, faculty staff and body.
The meeting, also, discussed the timeline of the academic year 2020/2021 approved by the supreme council of universities to commence on the 17th of October.
Moreover, the Council discussed the proposal of applying hybrid education and working on to reduce the density, especially in theoretical faculties from on the next year. Also, the Council of Port Said University approved on granting the doctorate degrees to four researchers and the master degrees to ten researchers. Then, the Council moved on to discuss the agenda of the meeting.
