Dr Prof. Ayman Ibrahim, president of the university, congratulated the winners of the research projects within the national initiation in the framework of the executive plan of the Ministry of Higher Education and Postgraduate Studies Scientific Research sector at the university led by Dr Prof. Rawya Rizk. The winning projects are:
Research project: “Assessment of the sensitivity of coral reefs to bleaching events on the Egyptian coast of the Red Sea” by researchers Dr Mohamed Youssef and Dr Prof. Mohamed Kamel Hassan, Faculty of Science
Research project: “Water Desalination Using Artificial Intelligence” by the principal researcher, Dr Mohamed El-Sakka, Faculty of Engineering
Dr Muhammad Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Mahmoud Saqr, President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Dr Walaa Sheta, CEO of the Science, Technology and Innovation Financing Authority, with the participation of Dr Mahmoud Mohieldin, pioneer and deputy of the United Nations on financing the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development, handed over contracts to support research projects with a total funding of 106 million pounds. This is within the framework of the initiation “support the integration of the sustainable development goals to pave the way for the COP27 climate summit”.
