Dr Prof. Ayman Ibrahim, president of the university, held a reception for the Italian orientalist Professor Paolo Brianca, Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies, Catholic University of Milan, Italy. The reception was attended by Dr Prof. Galal Salem, vice-president for education and student affairs, Dr Prof. Badr Abdul Aziz, dean of the faculty of arts, and Dr Prof. Ahmad Hasan, faculty of arts, Dr Prof. Mursi Qutb, specialized in the History of Egyptian-Italian Relations. During the visit, Professor Paolo Brianca gave a lecture entitled “History of Arabic Studies in Italy”. At the end of the visit, the President of the University awarded Professor Paolo the university shield to express appreciation of the fruitful cooperation wishing for more cooperation.
