
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, held an open meeting with students, faculty members, and administrative staff from the Faculties of Commerce and Engineering, emphasizing that students play a vital role in promoting a culture of energy conservation both on and off campus.
The meeting was conducted during a field visit to follow up on the university’s electricity conservation initiative, in line with the directives of Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and the policies of the Supreme Council of Universities, chaired by Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh. He praised the strong sense of responsibility and commitment demonstrated by the faculties’ communities.
The University President reaffirmed the continued efficiency of the educational process, highlighting plans to strengthen cooperation between the Faculties of Commerce and Engineering. He also announced the launch of distinguished international programs in collaboration with institutions in France, alongside ongoing efforts to enhance students’ practical training opportunities in factories and companies, and to support entrepreneurship initiatives.
Furthermore, he stressed the importance of updating financial and administrative regulations to ensure fairness and transparency, noting that the administrative restructuring process is nearing completion.
The meeting concluded with his appreciation for the efforts of both faculties in supporting the energy conservation initiative, underscoring the importance of sustained collective action to preserve national resources.
