The President of Port Said University meets with a French delegation from CY Tech, CY Cergy Paris University, to discuss and strengthen mutual cooperation.
Professor Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, recently welcomed a delegation from CY Tech, CY Cergy Paris University, to discuss and consolidate international cooperation. The delegation consisted of the following members:
- Prof. Radjesvarane Alexandre, General Director of CY Tech
- Mr. Michel Guilmault, Head of International Relations at CY Tech
- Dr. Besma Zeddini, Deputy Director of Innovation
- Ms. Joëlle Gury, Head of International Cooperation
During the opening of the meeting, Professor Sherif Saleh emphasized the deep bilateral relations between Egypt and France, as demonstrated by the cooperation between Port Said University and CY Tech, CY Cergy Paris University. He expressed his appreciation for the ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between the two institutions in the field of higher education, highlighting the importance of exchanging academic expertise.
Prof. Saleh also discussed the significant progress Egypt has made in higher education and scientific research sectors, due to the implementation of the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research. In this context, Port Said University is actively working to modernize and develop its academic programs by introducing new courses in collaboration with international universities. These initiatives not only aim to improve the university’s global ranking but also to provide high-quality international education opportunities through partnerships with institutions like CY Tech, CY Cergy Paris University.
President Saleh stressed that this collaboration with CY Tech and CY Cergy Paris University is part of Port Said University’s broader strategy to partner with international universities, benefiting from their expertise, knowledge exchange, and offering international degrees. This partnership is also expected to attract international students from neighboring countries, further enhancing the university’s reputation on the global stage.
The two parties then discussed practical ways to strengthen cooperation, particularly through the development of new international academic programs aligned with the needs of industry and labor market demands, both locally, regionally, and internationally.
The CY Tech, CY Cergy Paris University delegation expressed their admiration for their first visit to Port Said University, reaffirming the importance of collaborating on joint scientific projects. They emphasized the need to intensify exchanges across various academic, scientific, and research fields, while supporting Port Said University’s efforts to promote education and partnerships between the two institutions.
The meeting also brought together several deans of the relevant faculties, as well as prominent members of the faculty and academic staff of Port Said University.
