Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Supervisor of the Student Affairs Sector, and Prof. Dr. Heba Abdelaty, Academic Supervisor of Enactus Port Said University.
In a new achievement added to Port Said University’s record, Enactus Port Said University has qualified for the Enactus National Competition after successfully passing the qualifying rounds, which witnessed strong competition among Egyptian university teams, securing its place among the top 35 universities nationwide.
The qualification was achieved through Fetra, a project that offers innovative and sustainable solutions to environmental challenges by utilizing agricultural waste to produce oyster mushrooms. The project also involves developing a natural edible coating that helps preserve the quality of fruits and vegetables and extend their shelf life, thereby supporting the export potential of Egyptian agricultural products and reducing food waste.
This achievement reflects Port Said University’s commitment to supporting student innovation, promoting entrepreneurship, and empowering students to develop projects with economic, environmental, and societal impact, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and Egypt’s Vision.
Port Said University extends its sincere congratulations to Enactus Port Said University on this achievement and wishes the team continued success in the National Competition, as it continues to accomplish milestones that enhance the university’s standing among Egyptian universities.
