Port Said University Maintains Its Academic Excellence Among the Top Arab Universities in the 2026 QS Rankings for the Fifth Consecutive Year

The British ranking organization QS has announced the results of the 2026 Arab University Rankings, which included 296 universities from 20 Arab countries. Port Said University has continued its academic and scientific excellence, ranking 161–170th in the Arab world and 26th locally among 40 Egyptian universities included in the ranking — marking its fifth consecutive appearance in this prestigious ranking.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, stated that the university’s consistent presence in the QS rankings is the result of comprehensive efforts across all sectors. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the university’s commitment to the Egyptian state’s vision of supporting scientific research, innovation, and enhancing global competitiveness in higher education.

He added that Port Said University is continuously working to enhance its academic and research performance by supporting researchers and expanding international partnerships. The university ranked 81st in the Arab world in the Global Research (International Standing and Collaboration) indicator and was listed among the top 100 Arab universities for research quality, reaffirming its distinguished position among Egyptian and Arab universities.
