Port Said University joined THE World University Rankings

The University Classification Unit extends the sincere congratulations to the President of Port Said University, Prof. Dr. Ayman Ibrahim Mohamed, vice presidents, deans, academic staff , members and students of this distinguished scientific edifice on the admission of Port Said University to the ranks of the most prestigious international universities by joining  the World Classification of the Times Higher Education (THE) within the category of the best (1001 +) global university for the year 2020/2021. This great achievement reflects the extent of the effort made in the recent period in the field of advancing scientific research at the university, as the THE World University Ranking classification is one of the most credible and academic international classifications in its ranking of the best prestigious universities at the global level. It is worth noting that the university ranked tenth among the Egyptian universities.

As this achievement comes within an integrated series of accomplishments and goals planned according to a clear roadmap aiming to bring the university to the world and to achieve the vision of Egypt 2030 by enabling Egyptian universities to become a beacon of science and knowledge and a landing point for every real science and knowledge researcher. In a way that contributes to strengthening the university’s position and reputation on the regional and international stage, and making it an icon of education, which will enhance the university’s capabilities to attract distinguished students and researchers.

This achievement is the fruit of the solidarity of all university employees of all groups and locations under wise leadership to achieve the university’s vision and its strategic goals. It will also lead to more efforts and the strengthening of teamwork to put the university in its true place on the global map.

The Times World University Rankings includes five main pillars with different weights: teaching (30%), research (30%), citations (30%), industry income (2.5), and the international outlook (7.5%) ). The classification also includes thirteen performance indicators with weight ratio that professionally evaluate all academic and research aspects of universities.
