Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, received Prof. Ahmed Hassan, President of El Sewedy University, Brigadier General Mohamed Abu Shadi, General Manager of Corporate Social Responsibility at Belayim Petroleum Company, Eng. Hamdy Mohamed Mokhtar, General Manager of Sustainable Development at Petro Shorouk, Eni, and their accompanying delegation, along with Dr. Yasmine El Bendary, Director of Projects and Operations at El Sewedy University.
The meeting, attended by Prof. Dr. Heba Youssef Soliman, Director of the University Center for Career Development and Director of the Training Unit at Port Said University, focused on preparing for a cooperation protocol and establishing a sustainable institutional partnership that integrates academic education with practical application and leverages the expertise and capabilities of both sides.
Key areas of cooperation include field training opportunities, scholarships, joint degree programs, academic and research collaboration, and the exchange of scientific expertise and visits. The role of Belayim Petroleum Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Department in supporting education, training, and youth development was also discussed, with a focus on maximizing the societal impact of partnerships between academic institutions and the industrial sector.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized that the anticipated partnership represents an important step toward connecting academic knowledge with practical experience and expanding opportunities for Port Said University students, researchers, and graduates, in line with Egypt’s efforts to link university education outcomes with labor market needs and sustainable development.
Prof. Ahmed Hassan highlighted the importance of establishing clear frameworks for cooperation that support joint education and training programs and prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills required by the labor market.
The meeting reflects Port Said University’s strategy to expand its academic and community partnerships, strengthen applied training, and create new opportunities for students, researchers, and graduates, supporting sustainable development and the University’s vision of building effective partnerships that serve society.
