Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, received artist Abdel Rahim Hassan in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, General Supervisor of Student Welfare, at the launch of the inaugural “Port Said: Land of Talents” cultural competition. The competition, named after the renowned director Samir El-Asfouri, is held under the auspice of Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, and chaired by artist Abdel Rahim Hassan.
The event aims to discover and showcase the talents of Port Said’s youth across various fields, including acting, singing, poetry, writing, musical performance, visual arts, photography, folk arts, and elocution.
During the meeting, the university president honored Port Said artist Ali Mogmal for his distinguished artistic contributions, presenting him with the University Shield. Dr. Sherif Saleh also announced Port Said University’s official sponsorship of the competition, reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting creativity and nurturing local talent.
