
As part of the first phase of developing the student dormitories at Port Said University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, inaugurated the first phase of the development works.
The delegation was received by Dr. Mohamed Rizk Qumaiha, General Supervisor of the Student Dormitories Sector, and Mr. Mohsen Hamdi, Director-General of Student Dormitories.
The inauguration included a detailed presentation delivered by Dr. Mohamed Rizk Qumaiha, highlighting the development works, the number of rooms, accommodation capacity, and the various housing categories, including standard, economy, and premium accommodation with hotel-style amenities.
The Minister and accompanying delegation also toured the restaurant and kitchen facilities, where they were welcomed by Dr. Reham Tarek Zaki, Director of the Nutrition Department. The visit concluded with the inauguration of the premium building comprising 70 rooms designed to hotel standards.
