
As part of Port Said University’s ongoing efforts to advance development across its various sectors, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, held two consecutive meetings to follow up on development projects, asset investment, and the advancement of the university’s health and research services.
The first meeting was held with the University Facilities Committee, in the presence of Ms. Samia El-Moselhy, Secretary-General of the University, and several committee members. The meeting reviewed the implementation status of construction, development, and equipping projects across the university’s facilities and colleges, as well as the requirements for completing and commissioning these projects.
Prof.Dr. Sherif Saleh emphasized the importance of adopting the latest, most efficient, and sustainable materials and technologies to enhance the quality of university facilities, improve operational efficiency, and reduce long-term operating and maintenance costs.
The meeting also addressed mechanisms for investing the university’s assets and maximizing their returns through effective management and utilization, supporting the university’s resources and future development and expansion plans.
Following this, the university president held an extensive meeting with specialists in medicine, sports science, international cooperation, and the University Hospital to review the health sector’s activities and discuss mechanisms for advancing healthcare services and scientific research.

Dr. Ahmed Mostafa, Director of Quality and Healthcare at the University Hospital.
Dr. Nesma El-Gohary, Director of Therapeutic Nutrition at the University Hospital.
Discussions focused on strengthening partnerships with leading international universities and academic institutions in scientific research, preventive medicine, and healthcare, as well as introducing advanced technologies and artificial intelligence into the medical field to support diagnosis, prevention, and the quality of healthcare services.
These efforts align with Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh’s ongoing international visits and meetings with distinguished medical schools, universities, and academic institutions, reflecting the university’s commitment to expanding its international partnerships and benefiting from global expertise and best practices.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh directed the preparation of applied studies and research aimed at improving healthcare services for university students and the wider Port Said community, with a particular focus on disease prevention, public health, and addressing community needs through scientific research.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh affirmed that Port Said University’s mission extends beyond education and research to fulfilling its social responsibility, by harnessing its scientific, medical, and technological capabilities to develop practical solutions that improve quality of life and contribute to better services for the community.
