Port Said and the students Port Said University shone in the world of international cinema through their distinguished participation in the first edition of the Port Said Film Festival. The five-day festival, held at the Grand Theater of the Cultural Center in Port Said, continues until September 22.
The university students participated in several artistic workshops during the festival, most notably:
A free acting workshop for young talents with producer Hisham Soliman and artist Sameh El-Serity.
A free directing workshop for young talents with director Akram Farid.
An acting workshop with director and acting coach Ahmed Khairy, which focused on using camera movement and shooting angles to realistically convey emotions and ideas.
A specialized acting workshop with artist Ahmed Sherif.
This distinguished participation was the result of serious preparations and effective arrangements made by the General Administration of Student Care – Department of Cultural and Artistic Activities at the University, under the auspice of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh – President of Port Said University, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Port Said Governorate, and under the supervision and follow-up of Assistant Prof. Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi – Supervisor of the Student Care Sector at the University.
