Under the auspice of Dr Prof. Ayman Ibrahim, president of the university, Port Said University was awarded the fifth place at the level of the Egyptian universities in the celebration held for honoring the Egyptian universities in the field of international publishing. The celebration was attended by Dr Prof. Khalid Abdul Ghafar, minister of higher education and scientific research, Dr Prof. Tariq Shawqy, minister of education, Dr Prof. Mohamed Latif, secretary of the Supreme Council of Universities, and Dr Prof. Mahmoud Saqr, head of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and a number of the university staff and public figures. Dr Prof. Mohamed Latif handed the shield of excellence for Port Said University to Dr Prof. Rawia Rizq, vice-president for postgraduate studies and scientific research.
